Dorothy Bohm on a life dedicated to photography - Times Online

Dorothy Bohm on a life dedicated to photography - Times Online
Dorothy Bohm addresses the Times photographer: “Isn’t photography a wonderful profession?”says the 86 (very nearly)-year-old. A photographer for more than 60 years, she has such an interesting face: humorous, trustworthy, kindly, framed by snow-white hair. But you can still discern the 14-year-old girl who arrived in England in 1939, anxious and alone: “uprooted, afraid, not knowing what life was going to bring”.

The dust is made visible by the setting sun and hangs in thin veils drifting in the light winds. It looks as though it will be with us into next week. So quiet no aircraft in the sky.
